The data
Where the figures come from, what they say and what they do not, and what is still missing.
Where the figures come from
Registration data. All 358.488 registered agricultural and forestry tractors in the Netherlands, with make, trade name and date of first registration. This is where the per-model numbers come from.
Public auctions. We follow tractor auction lots and record what the highest bid was when the auction closed. That is the only figure that really says what somebody paid.
Adverts. Asking prices say what a seller hopes for, not what a buyer pays. We use them for supply and time on the market, not as a selling price.
What we do not do
We do not scrape sources that forbid it in their terms, and we do not circumvent bot protection. That means a number of well-known advert sites are deliberately missing here.
We never give a single figure without a range, and never an estimate without saying how many observations it rests on. Below ten observations we say that we do not know.
The figures on this site are statistical estimates based on public information. For insurance, financing or a legal dispute you need a proper valuer.
How current is it
Auction data is updated every ten minutes, registration data weekly. These pages were regenerated on 11 oktober 2026.
The price side of the database is still young. Auctions close continuously and only at closing do we know what was paid, so the number of observations grows week after week.
